The purpose of the Benevolence Policy is to set guidelines and practices that govern benevolence support provided to the church family and to meet needs in the community. Each member of the Benevolence Committee is required to go through MAP training offered by Crown Ministries. They will be responsible to comply with budgetary obligations. The committee is responsible and accountable to God, to Pastor Core Ministry Team, deacons, and to the church for how funds are managed and dispersed to meet benevolence requests. Financial aid is not always offered for all benevolence requests. God’s inspired Word and truths are shared with the requestor. First Baptist Church, Berkley does not grant loans. Therefore, all loan requests will be denied.
